I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

To Pray Or Not To Pray….

Is that even a question? Let’s find out!

Timothy was diagnosed with a rare cancer a while back. After consulting with doctors and surgeries to remove what needed to be removed, he is now taking medicine once a month to help to try and prevent it from coming back.

Waking up the next day after the new medicines is rough. The symptoms are not enough to keep Timothy home, but enough to make him miserable. He hasn’t asked for prayer, because let’s be honest, he thinks to himself, there are so many more that need prayer more than I do. So, he trudges through the days until it passes. Only to be repeated a few short weeks later.

Jonathan was admitted to the hospital a couple of weeks ago with blood clots and low oxygen. Within a few days, he was on a ventilator and not expected to pull through.

His family, his friends and his church rallied around Jonathan and his family. They prayed without ceasing! They asked in Jesus’ name for healing to take place. Within a week and a few days, he is off the ventilator and even getting up out of the bed some! The power of prayer ya’ll!!!

Matthew 18:19-20 says “Again I say to you that if two of you agree on earth concerning anything that they ask, it will be done for them by my Father in heaven. For where two or three are gathered together in my name, I am there in the midst of them.”

Read that again. It does not say where two agree concerning only major life issues, it says concerning ANYTHING that they ask. ANYTHING!

If you wake up tired and with no energy, pray for God to supply it. (Even if the supply comes in the form of a Peppermint Mocha Latte ☺️)

If you forgot to get gas on the way home from work, pray you make it to the station in the morning.

If you have a headache, stomachache or just plain don’t feel good, pray about, ask others to pray with you!

My point is, God is our Father! He wants to hear from us on everything, just like we want to hear from our children on everything. My daughter will call to tell me how bad her chicken sandwich happen to be that day. I love it. Because she wants to share her life with me. That’s what God wants from us!

So don’t feel shy about asking others to pray for you. Even on the little things!

Pick up the phone and call or send that text. Let those two or three gather together in Jesus’ name on your behalf. ❤️

James 5:13-14 ” Is anyone among you suffering? Let him pray….Is anyone among you sick? Let him call for the elders of the church, and let them pray over him, anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord.”
