I know that at the precise moment my baby sister reads this title she will cringe.
That is NOT the correct representation of the Five W’s. Well, there aren’t even five w’s there! But I digress…let’s get to the blog!
Philippians 4:4 “Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!”
Let’s begin!!
What? What are we to do? REJOICE!!!!
When? When are we to do it? ALWAYS!!!!
Why? Why are we able to rejoice? Philippians 4:6-7 tells us why! “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God; and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.” We are able to rejoice because we have the peace of God that surpasses ALL understanding!!
How? How can we rejoice? Philippians 4:8 tells us how! “Finally, brethren, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy, meditate on these things.” When we meditate on God’s word and bring our thoughts captive, we can have a heart of praise and rejoicing!!
Where? This one is a little different! Philippians 4:11 tells us “Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content.” Where are we to rejoice? In whatever state we are in. No matter what we are going through we can rejoice in Him. We can be content in Him.
I will tell you I absolutely LOVE the book of Philippians and chapter 4 has to be my favorite chapter. Every time I read it, the Lord gives me something new. I hope you do as well today!!
Until next time…
