Sunday night blues. That’s what I call them. I start getting all in my feelings about going back to work on Monday.

Monday morning rolls around and I text my friends and complain about how much I completely hate Mondays. Can I get a witness???

This past week, as I was talking with someone, complaining about the dreaded Monday morning, I realized something.

I realized that I was complaining about another day God had given me. I was complaining about another morning that He woke me up to spend with my family and friends. I realized that I was complaining about another day that He had blessed me with the good health to be able to get up and go to work and that I was blessed to have a job to go to.

It put me in a different mindset, that’s for sure.

Psalms 118:24 says “This is the day the Lord has made; We will rejoice and be glad in it.”

It doesn’t say “this is the day the Lord has made and I will only rejoice if it’s the weekend or I’m on vacation.”

Each day from God is a gift. There are some who did not wake up this morning. There are some who woke up this morning unable to work, to visit, to do the things we are doing each day.

So friends, thank God for each and every day He gives you, even the Monday mornings.
