I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

Not The Whole Staircase…

My husband and I have an old Ford truck. Nothing fancy or mint but man did I love riding with the windows down with him next to me. Reminded me of our dating days. 😍

It has sat for a few years now, needing some work. Every time my husband has thought about fixing it back up, the amount of work and the cost (cause let’s face it, trucks ain’t cheap) just overwhelms him. Then he gets frustrated and says “forget it”.

How many of you can relate?? Maybe not an old truck, but definitely things in our lives that overwhelm us at the thought of moving forward.

Last weekend, I remembered something I had read once.

“You don’t climb the whole staircase at once, you take one step at a time.”

I told him this. So we loaded up, drove to my dad’s where the truck sits, took pictures and made a list of things needing to be done. We decided on the little things to be done, one at a time, that would eventually get us back in the seat and riding those roads again.

Eventually, the whole staircase will be behind us.

My friends, there are SO MANY things in life that can overwhelm us these days. Especially with the pressures to have the “right” car, the “right” house or even the “perfect” classic truck to show off.

But God calls us to take one day at a time. One step at a time. He alone guides our steps and He alone knows what tomorrow holds.

So remember, NOT the whole staircase, one step at a time. Before you know it, you will be at the top.

Until next time…

Matthew 6:34 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about it’s own things….”
