I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

Tomorrow Might Not Come…

A while back, my husband and I had a friend who was sick. We kept saying we were going to stop by and see him. Especially my husband, who grew up with this man.

One day, we got the call that he was gone. We never did make it by to see him. And we will never get that chance now.

We have all done it. We have all had the thoughts of putting off til tomorrow the things we should be doing now. Anyone who says they have never done this is probably telling a small fib. 😘

I read something a while back that really caught my attention.

“Procrastination is the arrogant assumption that God will give us another chance to do what He has called us to do today.”

Ouch. That stung.

I’ve never considered myself an arrogant person….but whew!

Even God says we’re “boasting” our arrogance if we procrastinate.

James 4:13-16 “Come now, you who say, ‘Today or tomorrow we will go to such and such a city, spend a year there, buy and sell and make a profit’; whereas you do not know what will happen tomorrow. For what is your life? It is even a vapor that appears for a little time and then vanishes away. Instead you ought to say, ‘If the Lord will, we shall live and do this or that.’ But now you boast in your arrogance. All such boasting is evil.”

Talk about stepping on some toes! I believe mine are hurting right about now!

My friends, tomorrow is never promised to us.

Visit that friend today. Say “I’m sorry” or “I love you” to that friend or family that needs to hear it.

Accept Jesus into your heart TODAY!

Because tomorrow may never come.

Until next time…if the Lord wills…
