Yesterday was so much fun! Our work gave us an afternoon to relax and have a painting lesson.

Just for the record, I am NOT an artist. Definitely found that out yesterday! 😂

But as we gathered in the room to begin, there were all these beautiful, clean, blank canvases. Just waiting for us to breathe life onto them.

Some of us did beautifully and some of us wished we could start over and begin again. (Guilty! 🤦🏻‍♀️)

And we could have. There were more blank canvases in that room we could have began on.

Our days with God are kind of like that.

We spend a whole day working or relaxing or laughing or crying. Just living.

Sometimes, we look at the day and wish would could start over. We wish we could begin again.

God gives us that chance each morning that we wake. Each morning He gives us the chance to start anew, to begin a NEW day, a NEW blank canvas.

Lamentations 3:22-23 “Through the Lord’s mercies we are not consumed, Because His compassions fail not. They are new every morning; Great is Your faithfulness.”

His mercies are NEW every morning. GREAT is His faithfulness to us!

My friends, that alone should make us wake each morning with a grateful and happy heart.

No matter what the day we are in brings, no matter how bad our “paintings” are, His mercies are new EVERY SINGLE MORNING.

Each day we get to start on a clean, blank canvas. So grab that brush and those colors and jump into your brand new day!
