I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

No Filter…

Scrolling through social media, I see so many selfies. I see so many pictures people post of themselves.

Sometimes, it’s great. Sometimes I’m like, I KNOW what you look like for real. Just sayin’…I know there’s a filter in there somewhere. πŸ˜‚

Is that bad? Not at all. If it makes you feel good to put that best face forward, even if it’s filtered, then do it!

But I wonder sometimes if we don’t do the same with God.

He wants us to come to Him as we are but I wonder if we look at ourselves and think, “I don’t want Him to see how I really am, to see how I really look”.

Guess what, my friends?? He already does. He already sees the real us. He already knows our hearts, good or bad, before we even come to Him.

I have heard people say they can’t come to church or come to Jesus until they get their life right. Until they get that filter adjusted just so.

But that’s not how God wants us. He wants all of us. The real us. The messy us. He wants it all…the good, the bad and the ugly.

Filters are great when you want to look perfect for those Facebook photos or when you need that perfect Christmas card picture, but not with God.

So the next time you kneel to pray, take the filter off and let the real you come to Him.

Until next time…#stayfilterfree 😁
