I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

The Greatest Gift…

Christmas morning 1983 (or ’84???)…nope…pretty sure it’s ’83. Anyways….I digress…

Christmas morning that year was different. My little sister and I were woken up early, like before daylight early, to open presents. In a half asleep state, we opened Santa’s gifts and were rushed next door to my Papa and Mema’s house so that mom and dad could rush to the hospital to deliver sister #3.

Later that morning, we got the phone call that she had arrived. Merry Christmas to us!

To my parents, it was the greatest Christmas gift.

I have to admit, she’s pretty special.

But my friends, long before my special Christmas, God sent us an even greater Christmas gift.

He sent Jesus, born in a manger, to a carpenter and his wife. Doesn’t seem to spectacular does it?

Oh, but it was. It still is.

Because on that first Christmas morning, God gave us the gift of life. He gave us the gift of His son, who would save us from this world.

So my friends, as we prepare this weekend to gather with our families and exchange gifts, don’t forget the reason we celebrate.

Don’t forget about The Greatest Christmas Gift ever given.

Until next time…Merry CHRISTmas my friends!

‭‭Luke‬ ‭2:7‬ “And she brought forth her firstborn Son, and wrapped Him in swaddling cloths, and laid Him in a manger, because there was no room for them in the inn.”
