We don’t listen. I said what I said.

Most times, when God calls us to do…we don’t.

We make excuses. We feel inadequate. We feel unworthy. We have doubts.

Am I the only one? I would probably venture out to say no.

Ever thought about Moses? He was leader for the children of Israel. He led them out of captivity and into the land promised to them by God. You’re probably thinking, “Man, he was a great man but I could never be like that.”

You would be wrong.

In Exodus chapter 3, God called Moses. Moses did not immediately jump up and say “ok!”. In fact, He did quite the opposite.

In verse 11, Moses asked God, “Who am I that I should go?”.

He felt unworthy.

In chapter 4, verse 1, Moses asked God, “What if they don’t believe me?”. He felt doubt.

In verse 10 of chapter 4, Moses told God, “I am slow of speech and not eloquent.”.

He felt inadequate.

In verse 13, Moses finally told God, “Send someone else.”. This made God angry with Moses.

He had enough of Moses’ excuses.

Each time Moses gave an excuse, God countered with a solution. (Check out Exodus for the rest of the story!!) God offered an answer to every question Moses presented. Except the request to send someone else. God said NO!

When He calls us, He WILL prepare us. He will equip us. No matter the doubts, the fears, the excuses we present, God will ALWAYS have an answer for them.

My friends, when God calls you, be assured it’s not a mistake. He knows what He’s doing. So don’t be afraid to step out. Don’t doubt your ability to handle it.

Because it’s not your ability God is seeking, it’s your obediance.

It’s not YOUR power that accomplishes His will, it’s HIS power THROUGH you!
