I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

No Altar Needed…

What?? How dare I??

Now that I have your attention, let’s get into this.

The altar is a special place. It’s the place where you and God meet. The place where you take all your needs to Him. The place where you cry out to Him for the salvation of your lost children, for the healing of your body or just for the peace that only He can provide.

The altar is a place you need.

But what if it’s not there? What if you’re driving down the road to work and you need an answer? What if you’re laying in bed at midnight and need that peace to close your eyes and rest? What if you’re sitting at your desk and need the strength to make it through the rest of your day?

What if you’re lost and without Jesus and a random stranger or song or article leads you to Him?

Then, my friends, the altar is not needed.

You can talk to God anytime, any place.

I heard two songs this week. One was about getting saved in his car in a parking lot, the other about Jesus finding him on a road trip to Nashville. (Parking Lot & I Didn’t Find Jesus. Awesome songs. Check them out)

You don’t have to wait til Sunday to kneel at the altar and talk to Him. You can kneel, sit, lay or stand anywhere and He will hear.

He will answer.

Sometimes, as I sit at my desk at work, for just a split second, I close my eyes and send up a short prayer. He hears me the same as if I were kneeling at the altar in my little church in Sasser.

So the next time you need Him, just take a moment and realize, He is already there. Right next to you. No matter where you are.

Until next time…
