YOLO??
If you’re like me you have NO CLUE what I just said.
I guess I’m showing my age because I had to look these up to make sure I heard the guy on the radio right! 😂
So apparently, back in the day (of our millennial kids), YOLO meant “you only live once”. In other words, make the most of it.
According to new list put out by someone out there, YOLO is no longer the “in” thing.
Now it’s DIFTP. (Again, according to someone out there, not me)
“Doing it for the plot”
The plot being life. So we’re all out here “doing it for the plot”.
Alrighty then. Guess it’s too easy to just say I’m out here living life. 🤷♀️
Anyways!! I laughed when they were going over the list and the DJ’s were laughing too. (Must be as old as me)
But as I drove, I got to thinking that yes, we are all out here doing it for the plot. But what is our “plot” about? What are we out here doing?
Is the plot of our story that we’re living for Jesus? Is our plot that we’re working to further His kingdom?
Are we out here sharing His love with others?
What are we out here doing?
I look back on my life so far and wish I had lived for Him more. I wish I had worked for Him more and that I had shared Him with others more. But we can’t look back, only move forward.
So moving forward my friends, what is the plot of your story going to look like? When the preacher stands over you at the end, is the story he tells going to tell of Jesus or of the world?
I pray that my story tells of a Savior who forgave me and gave me the privilege of sharing Him with the world.
Until next time…
