I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

The Grass Is Greener…

On the other side.  That’s what we have always heard, right?

Well, I disagree.  I came across something better.  I came across something truer.

THE GRASS IS GREENER WHERE YOU WATER IT!

That new car will be ‘less new’ the minute you drive it off the lot.

That new outfit will be ‘less new’ the moment you wear it.

Those new shoes will be ‘less new’ the moment you step out onto the grass in the morning dew.

Well, you get it…

My point is, that nothing stays new forever.

The same is true with your relationship with God.

Remember when you first asked Him into your life, into your heart?

Remember the awesome feeling of being free, of being on fire and pumped up for Him?

That feeling can fade.  Especially if we don’t work on that relationship with Him.

Am I saying you gotta work to be saved and to stay in good with God?  Absolutely not!

But I am saying that you can’t just sit on a pew for an hour a week and expect that relationship to grow.

You have to read His word.  You have to spend time in prayer with Him.  You have to ask Him to show you that ‘something new’ everytime you open His word.

You HAVE to take the time.

You have to take the time to keep that new car clean, the oil changed, the fluids checked.

You have to take the time to wash that new outfit to keep it clean and looking nice.

That grass outside will wither, turn brown and die if you don’t cultivate it and take care of it.  You have to water it.

That same is true for your relationship with God.  You have to take the time out of your day to cultivate it, to take care of it, to water it.

So my friends remember…

The grass isn’t greener on the other side…

It’s greener where you water it.

Until next time…
