My daughter struggles with anxiety. Truth be told, she probably got it from her momma.
Hard to believe, huh? ๐
One day, before she moved, we were driving home and she saw a church sign that simply said…
Anxious for nothing.
She told me that it was kind of rude to tell us we’re being anxious for nothing.
I explained to her that it was a bible verse. I told her it meant that we should not worry about anything because God’s got us.
She was like “oh ok” and that was the end of the conversation.
But the more I thought about it, the more I realized that the way she originally took it was a little bit correct.
If we believe He knows what’s best, if we believe He holds our future, then we shouldn’t be worried or anxious.
Cause God’s got us.
Now….don’t get me wrong. I KNOW that’s a whole lot easier said than done.
For you, for me. For all of us.
But if we try that train of thought in the little things, maybe we can work our way up to the big things.
Until next time…
Philippians 4:6
Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God.
