I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

No Fear…

You must admit, in today’s world, this phrase is hard to say.

Fear is there.  Fear is very real for some.  I dare to say for all of us in some form or another.  Whether it’s fear for yourself, for your children, for your grandchildren or just general fear of the unknown in this life.

Today, as we look around us at all that is going on in this world, it’s very hard to say we have no fear of the future.

Now I know who’s in control.  I know who holds the future.  That still doesn’t make the fear for my loved ones any less real.  Even if I were to die today, knowing I would be with the one who saved me, I still fear for the future of those left behind.

If Jesus came back today, if the rapture happened at this very moment, I would be with my Savior.  That still doesn’t make my fear of those left behind any less real.

Let’s be honest.  We all feel this to some extent.

The bible gives us clear direction on fear.  It gives us words from our Heavenly Father to comfort us.

Psalms 56:2 “When I am afraid, I will trust in You.”

It’s ok to be afraid.  When you are, just pick up His word and find comfort and peace.

Psalms 61:2 “From the end of the earth I will cry to You; when my heart is overwhelmed, Lead me to the Rock that is higher than I”

This is one of my favorites.  When I am overwhelmed with this life, I look to the one who is my Rock, whose ways are higher than mine.

Psalms 62:8 “Trust in Him at all times, you people.  Pour out your heart before Him: God is a refuge for us”

Wow.  He is a refuge.  Imagine being scared and resting in your dad’s arms.  You feel safe.  That is how God is for us.  He is our resting place.  Our help in time of need.  Our peace in times of fear.

My friends, I know this world is getting scarier by the hour.  But my God is still in control.  Turn to Him for the peace you need to make it through.

He will ALWAYS be there.

Until next time…
