Everyone gets one, right??

Here you go. Job so so done but you made it anyways.

But is that how we want to live our lives? Is that what we want Jesus to say when we finally meet Him face to face? When we walk through those gates of heaven, do we want to hear “you didn’t do well but here is a crown anyways”?

Not me!!! I want to hear “Well done my good and faithful servant”! I want to see Jesus face to face and know I did everything within me to serve Him, to bring others to Him and to tell the world about Him.

That is what we are called to do. We are not called to warm a pew and be content because we know we will finish. We are to finish well!

1 Corinthians 9:24 says “Do you not know that those who run in a race all run, but one receives the prize? Run in such a way that you may obtain it.”

We are to strive for the prize of our imperishable crown! (1 Corinthians 9:25)

2 Timothy 4:7 says “I have fought the good fight, I have finished the race, I have kept the faith. Finally there is laid up for me the crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous Judge, will give to me on that day, and not me only but also to all who have loved His appearing”

We are to fight a GOOD fight! We are to keep the faith! We are not to silently stand by while the world is dying and going to hell! We are to run, as hard as we can, to win as many of those as we can to Him before our race is over.

Friends, I don’t want just a participation trophy when my race is over, I want the prize! And you should too!
