I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

Build A Boat…

Part 2…

Recap…Noah was told by God to build a boat, an ark. He told Noah He going to open up the heavens and rain would flood the earth. Never before had it rained, yet Noah believed God and began to build the ark. Despite the mocking and laughing, Noah continued on in what God had told him to do.

Now the rest of the story…

Noah spent years building the ark. I can’t tell you exactly how long, but let’s face it, a boat that big wasn’t built in a week!

He labored day in and day out to build what God had commanded. During this time, he was mocked and made fun of.

The Bible doesn’t say but I can imagine it went something like this…

“Look at that dummy building a boat on dry land.”

“Ok where’s this ‘rain’ stuff you claim is coming?”

For a long time, Noah listened to this and tried to turn the hearts of those making fun of him.

I’m sure Noah became discouraged, frustrated and maybe had days of doubt himself. (INSERT: my opinion not facts from the Word)

Yet, he continued on.

My point is, my friends, is that God may send us on a mission. He may give us something to “build”. He may give us a promise.

BUT…it may not happen immediately. We may not see the results of our labor for days, weeks or years. We may not see that promise of healing until it’s His time.

We may not see the rain until God has finished providing the ark.

Everything happens in His time. I know personally, I am very impatient. I have a hard time waiting for anything.

But God works on His own timetable, not ours. Trust me, I am still learning this after all these years!!

So remember, when you get impatient, frustrated or start having doubts…

God is always on time!

No matter if it’s bringing the rain, the healing, the help, the provisions…God WILL show up and He will SHOW OUT!

Until next time…
