I Can Do ALL Things Through Him

Fall On Good Ground…

What do we do with God’s word when we hear it, when we study it?

That may seem like an odd question. You’re probably thinking that you don’t do anything with. You read it. You study it.

But what do you do with it?

In the parable of the sower, Jesus compared sowing a seed to those of us who hear the word.

In the parable, some of the seeds fell by the wayside and immediately were eaten by the birds. Some fell on stony ground, and the sun scorched the plant that had immediately sprung up. Some fell among the thorns and were choked out by the thorns and weeds and did not grow. The rest fell on good ground and sprang up, yielding a crop of thirty, sixty, and a hundred fold. (Mark 4: 3-9)

Jesus explained that the seed was the word of God.

Seeds on the wayside are those that hear and immediately satan snatches the word from their hearts.

The seeds that fell on stony ground? Those heard and received God’s word with gladness. But they did not have any roots, and as soon as they encountered troubles, they stumble and return to the world. (Mark 4:13-19)

But the ones that fell on good ground, now those took root, accepted God’s word into their hearts and began to bear fruit.

So again, what do you do with the word?

Are you letting it fall to the wayside and get snatched from you by satan? Are you letting the trials and tribulations of this world choke the word right out of you?

Or are you falling on good ground and “bearing fruit”?

What does that mean???

Are you taking the word and sharing it with others? Are you ministering to others? Are you showing others what He has done for you and will do for them?

If not, you should be! We ALL should be.

My friends, make sure you fall on good ground.

Until next time…
